Obituary

Jacquelin Louise Wilson Kemp was born on September 8, 1969, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Erise Wilson, Sr. and Rosie Wilson. She was the seventh of nine siblings, earning her the title of the "spoiled/bossy" one.

Affectionately known by those who knew her as "Cookie," Jacquelin accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthews M.B. Church. At the time of her transition, she was a member of Abundant Life Christian Church.  She loved the Lord and shared the gospel with those she encountered. She accepted everyone with open arms and an infectious smile. She had an immense passion for her family and an unwavering faith in the Lord.

She was a 1987 graduate of Caldwell High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rust College, a Bachelor's in Para Legal Studies from Mississippi University for Women, and a Master's degree in Human Resources from Walden University. Cookie's desire for knowledge was only surpassed by her love for travel and planning.  She worked as a human resource manager and sales specialist for many years.  She had a flare for fashion and glamor.

On September 10, 2022, she married the love of her life, her soul mate, Anthony Charles Kemp.  Although the union seemed short, the bond will last forever.

Relinquishing this earthly life, she made her transition on February 3, 2024, with her sister at her side.

Those awaiting her arrival include her parents and a nephew, Arlandus Shanotay Wilson.

Humbly cherishing her memories are her husband, Anthony Kemp; her siblings, Dennis (Mattie) Wilson, of Columbus, MS, Gloria Wilson of Columbus, MS,  Don Billups (Twinkle) of Atlanta, GA, Theodore (Felicia) Wilson, of Killeen TX, Keith (Kim) Wilson of  Kankakee,  IL, Glenn (Stephanie) Wilson, of Arlington, TX, Erise (Nicole) Wilson, of Columbus, MS, and Anthony (Vanessa) Wilson, of Madison, AL; God sister, Helen (Dennis) Duncan, of San Jose, CA;  nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Adored by everyone who knew and loved her, Cookie will live on forever in our hearts.
