James was born on July 28,1967 to the late James Earl Davis, Sr. and Annie Davis. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Harrison Grove Baptist Church.
He loved to fish, hunt, and boss people around. He loved his wife, mother, children, grandchildren and siblings.
He was employed with the City of Columbus, Weyerhaeuser, and Golden Triangle Waste Service.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Moses davis and Sister, Vickie Denise Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Mary Davis of Brooksville, MS, a very loving and kind mother, Annie Pearl Davis of Brooksville, MS three handsome sons, Recardo (Precious) Henley of Brooksville, MS, Travis (Tylecia) Henley of Nashville, TN, and Jamell (Kierra) Davis of Columbus, MS, host of grandchildren, Aniya Barnett, Travontae Henley, Jaylen King, Jaden Ling, Harmonee Butler, Sariya Butler, Krlie Davis, Carson Davis, and Ta-Siya Henley. He leaves one sister, Annie Coleman, two brothers, Larry (Tomeka) Davis and Willie B. Davis all of Brooksville, MS, mother-in-law, Mattie B. Henley of Brooksville, MS; and a host of many family members and friends.
