Mr. James Earl Sanders was born January 19,1943 to the late Mr. James Sanders and Mrs. Gertrude Johnson Sanders.

James (Sonny Boy) Sanders departed this life May 16,2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

James accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church until his death.

He was preceded in death by sister, Mary Gates and brothers, Earnest Sanders and Albert Sanders.

James leaves to cherish his memories: children, Toiya Sanders Higgins of Nebraska, Lashundra Casha (Brandon) Brooks of Texas, Cheryle Harper of Tennessee, James Edward Brown of Tennessee and Andrew Gaven of Macon, MS; sister, Josie M Coleman of Macon, MS and brother, Cleveland (Brenda) Sanders of Chicago, IL, sister-in-law, Patricia Sanders of Macon, MS; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, one special friend, Ms. Elizabeth P. of East St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
