Obituary

James Calvin Stephenson was born June 27, 1962 to Robert and Fannie Ferguson Stephenson.

He confessed his Faith in Christ at an early age at New Hope CME Church.

He is a 1980 graduate of New Hope High School and from there joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served his country as a Communications Specialist and Field Radio Operator.  He worked various jobs and spent most of his adult life as a self-employed roofer.

Calvin loved to hunt, fish, cook, dance, and have fun. He was a free spirit and a hard worker.

He departed this life on November 8th, 2022 after a brief illness. Calvin will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his baby brother, Ramon Lavelle Stephenson.

Calvin's memories will forever be cherished by: his parents, Robert and Fannie Stephenson; his siblings, Bernice Stephenson Lewis (Melvin) of Caledonia MS, Willie Earl Stephenson (Mercil) and Obbie Stephenson Tate (Raymond) of Ethelsville AL, Barbara Stephenson Reives (Stanley) of Collierville TN, Hilda Stephenson Eddins (Tony), Bobby Stephenson, Gwen Stephenson, Dwight Stephenson of Columbus MS, Calandra Stephenson Lake (Gregory) of Cypress TX and Marlon Stephenson of San Antonio TX; he also leave a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
