Mr. J.D. Walker, Sr. was born September 13, 1933, in Choctaw County, MS to Robert Walker, Sr. and Lucy Baskin. Mr. Walker was employed with Beneke for 29 years until retirement. He joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Lizzie Seely of Columbus, MS.

Mr. J.D. Walker, Sr. departed this life on June 1, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital GT in Columbus, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Clara Baskin and R.B. Baskin; son, James D.  Walker

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Larone Walker of Austin, TX, Bennie M. Walker of Atlanta, GA. J.D. (Glenda) Walker, Jr. Eva M. Bryant, Darryl F. Walker, Selinda D. Walker all of Columbus, MS, and Robert J. Walker of Alabaster, AL; 14 grand- children, 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
