"Mack" Cockrell
August 19, 1955 – February 6, 2024
John E. Cockrell "Mack" 68, born August 19, 1955, in Brooksville, MS. He accepted Jesus Christ at a early age as his Lord and Savior. Later in life he began following the teaching of the Israel of God out of the KJV Bible for his soul salvation.
John was employed by Hopper Builder for many years and provided for his family as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
John, better known as Mack, was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, and Friend and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.
John's Soul and Spirit separated on February 6, 2024. He departed this life at his home surrounded by his family, loved ones, and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Johnny, Sr. and Laura Cockrell, four brothers, Johnny Cockrell, Jr., Walter Cockrell, Joe Louis Cockrell and Otis Cockrell, three sisters, Bertha Boatman, Frances Cockrell, Hattie Irby.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Elizabeth Ball-Cockrell; three sons, Jerry Simpson (India), Johnny Mack Cockrell, and Byerson Cockrell; one daughter, Brandi Cockrell; three brothers, Hope L. Cockrell (Rosie) of Syracuse, NY., Tyree Cockrell (Camille) of Cleveland, OH., L.B. Cockrell (Gloria) of Columbus, MS; five sisters, Dorothy Brewer, Bernice Willis, and Annie Cockrell all of Columbus, MS, Louis Washington of Clay, NY and Geraldine Johnson (Larry) of Plano, TX; six grandchildren, Ayana, Aaliyah, Jerrika, Ava, Nova, and Adon Mack and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
