Veteran Johnnie Eddie Daniels was born on October 15, 1957 in Bigbee Valley, Mississippi to Van S. Tate Sr. and Augusta Daniels. Johnnie heard the call and returned to his heavenly father late Sunday evening on July 24, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Johnnie was a graduate of Noxubee County High School. He served in the United States Army as an Instrument Repairman and honorably completed his tour in the rank of Specialist (E4). Johnnie confessed salvation in Christ and was a member of Christian Hill M.B Church under the leadership of Reverend Bobby Bowens where he served faithfully until he answered God's call.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents: Van S. Tate and Augusta Daniels; uncles, Essie Daniels, Bobbie Daniels; and longtime friend, Delois Wells.

Johnnie leaves behind his loving memories: four children, Johnny Wells, Markeshia Wells, Emmanuel Wells all of Meridian, MS, and Shanta Newby (Ricky) of Columbus, MS; brothers, David Daniels (Akron OH), Van S. Tate Jr., Van S. Owens and Bobby Hines of Brookville MS); sisters, Stephanie Daniels and Tracey Daniels of Akron, OH and Linda Harmon of Macon, MS. Johnnie is also survived by his grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members and close friends, Kathy and aunt Sara Daniels and Jackie Daniels.
