Obituary

Joyce Marie Farmer Rupert was born February 5, 1955 in Brooksville, Mississippi becoming the 4th child to Mother Mary Jane Farmer and John Kroger.

Joyce's father, John Kroger; mother, Mary Jane Farmer; brother, Tom (Esther) Farmer Sr. and twin brother, Jerry Farmer all preceded her in death.
Joyce Marie Farmer married James Rupert on December 25, 1973. Both were volunteer parents that help nurture multiple children out of love and devotion.

Joyce confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior from the mourning bench of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized and became a faithful member in 1968. In 1976, Joyce became a member of Toliver Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with husband James Rupert. In 2007 Joyce's husband, James was called to become Pastor of Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church where Joyce became First Lady.
Joyce was employed by Sparta Manufacturing of Louisville Mississippi and later worked at Cal-jac in Macon, Mississippi for a number of years. Joyce also worked at Louisville Health Care until she retired in 2011.

Joyce attended Liddell High School, graduating in 1973. She later attended Riley College and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories: A loving husband of 50 years James Rupert of Macon, Mississippi; two caring brothers, RL Farmer (Mary) of St. Louis, Missouri, Ralph Farmer of Brooksville, Mississippi; two phenomenal sisters, Annie Ruth Anderson (Jerry) of St. Louis, Missouri, Marilyn Farmer of Brooksville, Mississippi;  three devoted sisters-in-laws, Lula Bell Gardner (Earvin), Veneta Armistad (Will), Brenda Rupert all of Macon Mississippi; four dedicated brothers-in-laws, Johnny Rupert of Chicago, Illinois, Joseph Rupert, Willie Rupert (Sandra), Franklin Rupert all of Macon, Mississippi; A host of  awesome nieces, nephews and remarkable cousins and friends.
She also leaves two special friends, Terry Bankhead and Annie B. Ervin.

Joyce loved her family and would do anything for Family. Joyce would always put on a brave face to prevent family from worrying about her. Knowing that Joyce is a dedicated Woman of God, we no longer have to worry. Praise God for the 69 years of Joyce being with us. We will forever love and cherish Joyce's memory. Until we meet again.

Joyce will be truly missed!!!!!!
