Obituary

LaQuanda Keyana Newman was born in West Point, MS on July 19, 1984 to Lucille Newman and Tommie Hill. She grew up in Columbus, MS and attended the Columbus City Schools earning her high school diploma in 2002. After high school, she enrolled at East Mississippi Community College to further her studies. She was recently employed with MTD/Black & Decker as a machine operator in Verona, MS.

LaQuanda, known to  most as "KeKe" was a vibrant and loving person. She was known for her jubilant attitude and beautiful smile, never meeting a stranger. She never had a dull moment in life. She was an active and energetic person; willing to help anyone that she could. "KeKe" was also a hard working lady and took great pride in loving on her baby boys. She confessed Christ at an early age at Southside M.B. Church and enjoyed serving with the youth department.

"KeKe" departed this life on November 1, 2022 in Columbus, MS. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, and community.

"KeKe" leaves to cherish her memories: two sons: Reneko Courington and Kayden Newman; her mother, Lucille Newman; her father, Tommie Hill; her special friend, Reneko Courington, her brothers: Pierre J. Newman, Michael Satterfield, Tommie Jefferson, Jeremy Jefferson, and Adavius Satterfield; her sisters: Teresa Hunter and Ashley Rice; her "fighting nuns"; aunts and uncles, and host of other relatives and friends.
