LeTavis Jatun Murry was born December 14, 1993, in Columbus, MS to the parents of Josie Murry and Essie D. Tate.

LeTavis answered God's call and bid his family and friends farewell on June 7, 2024. He will always be remembered for his big personality, his love for good food, and most of all, the love for his mother. Oftentimes, he would call her two to three times per day. He was her baby, the youngest of six children, and he would not let anyone forget that. On December 2, 2019, LeTavis welcomed a baby girl, Melody Turner, into the world and a son, Clarson Rush, on November 19, 2020. While he is physically gone, his spirit will live on through his children and other family members.

LeTavis leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Melody Turner and Clarson Rush.; his parents, Josie Murry and Essie D. Tate; his maternal siblings, Joyce Wells, Timothy Washington, April Washington, Quintin Washington, and Coderick Hood; his paternal siblings, Charles Leonard, Alonzo Washington, Quanna Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
