Latoya Jones was born to Mildred "Marilyn" Jones and Gene Jones in Lowndes County.  Latoya was an exceptional young lady who loved music and was a very talkative person.  She loved talking to her aunt Rosie, whom she always called "Auntie".

Latoya was a strong young lady who fought a good fight from birth.  She had such a strong willpower and zest for life that she never gave up.

Latoya was a graduate of Armstrong High School in Starkville, MS.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Jones; her grandmother, Vest; one aunt and one uncle.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her mom Mildred; two brothers, Marvin and Marcelle; a special Godmother, Rosie Silvers, who truly loved her as her own daughter; two aunts, Sally Ivy and Betty L. Jones; two uncles, Johnny B. "Sleepy" Jones and James Earl.  She also leaves a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
