Lentie L. Davis, jr. "Lindsey" was born on August 19, 1950 to Clara Harris Williams and Lindsey Davis in Lowndes County, MS. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. He departed this life to his eternal home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Lentie known as Lindsey, worked for Dixie Auto for over 50 years. In his early years he met and married the late Gloria J. Davis and to this union two children were born. He loved fishing and hunting.

Lentie is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janice M. Davis; his great-grandson, Kamron Amir Davis, five sisters, Evelina Williams, Georgia Carr, Josephine Williams, Ruby Davis, and Rosie Mae Williams, three brothers, Will Lee Williams, James Williams, and John Williams.

His memories will be cherished by his two children, Patrick Carter of Columbus, MS and Loretta Davis (Dennis, Jr.) Smart of Southaven, MS; six grandchildren, Lentie Lee Davis, III, Anterrio Davis, Steven Davis all of Columbus, MS, Kristopher Davis of Memphis, TN, Kayla Smart, Dennis Smart, III of Southaven, MS; five great-grandchildren, Ezra J. Smart-Opio of Southaven, MS, Jadeah Hill, Ryleigh Davis, Jordyn Davis all of Columbus, MS; one sister, Ruth Stearling of Columbus, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
