Lloyd Brandon Hairston (TooTall) was born on September 11,1952 in Crawford, Mississippi. Lloyd was the 6th child of eleven children born to the union of James and Mattie Hairston.

Lloyd accepted Christ in his life at an early age and joined the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where the late Rev. John Brooks was Pastor.

Lloyd moved to Michigan in 1978 and started his career with Delphi, a Division of General Motors, until his retirement in 2008. After retirement, he relocated back to Mississippi to help care for his mother.  After her passing he decided to make Crawford his new home.  He joined A Prepared Table Ministries and regularly attended church before his sickness. Lloyd's favorite past time was watching football, especially his ride or die team the Kansas City Chiefs and LMN movies.

Lloyd leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Kevin Edmond of Crawford, Mississippi and Brandon Hairston of Santa Monica, California; two stepdaughters, Shalonda Watkins-Guinn (The Honorable David Guinn) and Margaret Watkins of Michigan; two brothers, Oscar (Monya) Hairston of Flint, Michigan and Michael Hairston of Crawford, Mississippi; five sisters, Ida (TJ) Thomas of Muskegon, Michigan, Regina (Morris) Hill of Flint, Michigan, Kay (Amos) Buford of Flushing, Michigan, Maxine (JC) Allen of Columbus, Mississippi and Peggy Webber of Crawford, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Sandra Hairston of Flint, MI; three step-grandchildren; special friends, Willie Harris and Walter Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mattie Hairston; brothers, Earl, James Jr. and Herman.
