Lucille Morris was born on July 28, 1942 in Macon, MS to the late A. D. Morris and Georgia Clay.  She departed this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the age of 81.

Lucille accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Macon, MS.  She later joined Millers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the age 50 and over the senior choir.  She graduated from First James Creek School with a high school diploma and attended one year at M & I College in Holly Springs, MS on an academic scholarship.  She retired from the Noxubee County School District after 42 years, where she served as a teacher's assistant and parent liaison.  In addition to her work, she devoted her service in various capacities; one mainly being chaperon for school events/activities, such as band, basketball, football, and cheerleading.  She affectionately became known as the teams "Sports Mother".

Lucille was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Annie Dell Brown, and daughter, Sarah Liddell Christian.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters:  Glenda (Andrew) White and Sharon (Sammie) Morris, both of Macon, MS; two sons, Fred (Mari) Morris of Philadelphia, MS and John (Jessica) Liddell of Roseville, CA; a devoted special friend, JC Doss of Brooksville, MS; eight grand- children; four great-grands, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended sons, (Pat Hopkins, Teddrick Liddell, Roger Liddell) and very dear friends.

Lucille was loved by all she encountered.  She will be remembered as a sweet and loving person and true Tiger fan that greeted everyone with a big hello and smile.
