Mr. Mack Arthur Taylor was born June 8, 1954 in Columbus, MS to Juliette Tate Taylor and William Henry Taylor. He accepted Christ at the age of 13 at New Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Milton Fields. He later joined the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mr. Taylor grew up in Columbus, MS and attended Concord School. In May of 1994, he received his diploma from Ministerial Institute & College.
Mr. Mack Taylor was employed with Sysco as a truck driver for over 10 years. He moved to Greenville, MS where he continued his trucking at Merchant Food Service Transportation. He later moved to Dallas, Texas to drive for Bancroft's & Son Transportation. Mr. Mack was a hardworking man that loved his children, grandchildren, and family. He was a devoted fan of The Dallas Cowboys.
Mr. Mack Taylor departed this life on August 24, 2023 in Dallas, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents: William Henry and Juliette Taylor; his siblings Essie D. Baldwin, Willie James Taylor, Julia M. Taylor, George Lee Taylor, and his twin Gene Arthur Taylor.
Mr. Mack Taylor will forever be cherished by his children: Tanya 'Shay' Sims (Chapez) of Atlanta, GA; Mackita Lowery (Jeffery) of Columbus, MS; Tamarcus Taylor (Ashley) of Memphis, TN; Teneshia Taylor of Dallas, TX and Aziza Taylor of Dallas, TX. His grandchildren Tamarcus Tyan Taylor Jr; Mackenzie Genyia Lowery, Tyler Ashton Taylor, Jaye'len Sims, Chapez Sims Jr; Anyah Sims and his great- grandson Siah Sims. His siblings: Oscar Taylor (Mary) of St. Louis, MO, Annie Ruth McKnight of Milwaukee, WI, Eli Taylor (Dorsie) of Columbus, MS; Ethel Stewart (Johnny) of Columbus, MS; Glenda Samuel (Rev. James) of Columbus, MS; Jimmie Taylor (Rose) of Columbus, MS; Mary Ann McGee (Sanders Jr.) Of Columbus, MS; Joe Earl Taylor of Columbus, MS; Barbara A. Williams (Terry) of Columbus, MS; Ozzie B. Verdell (Melvin Jean) of Brooksville, MS; William Austin of Columbus, MS; Aretha Harris of Columbus, MS; and Lucille Newman of Columbus, MS. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
