Obituary

Martha Ann Wrench, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community was born on June 8, 1939, in Columbus, Mississippi, to the late Jimmy and Ozella Springer, Martha Ann was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her 85 years.

A proud graduate of Union Academy School, Martha Ann embraced her education and carried the values of hard work and dedication into every aspect of her life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence; she accepted Christ as her personal savior and became a lifelong member of St. Paul M.B. Church. There, she not only sang joyfully in the choir but also served on the Mother's Board, nurturing the spiritual growth of others with her wisdom and grace.

Martha Ann was known for her generous spirit and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, often opening her home and heart to those in need. Her culinary skills were legendary, and her kitchen was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aromas of her favorite dishes.

Traveling brought her immense joy, and she cherished the memories made with family as they explored new places together. Whether it was a simple family gathering or a grand adventure, Martha Ann's warmth and laughter were the threads that wove her family together.

Martha Ann Wrench departed this life on May 28, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT.

Mother Wrench is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmie Wrench; and her siblings, George Springer, Jessie Springer, Jimmy Springer, Rebecca Jones, Magnolia Perkins, Tony Springer and Edward Lee.

Martha Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and faith to her loving children, Bobby (Helen) Wrench, Melissa Allen, Samantha (Joe) Koger and Curley Williams all of Columbus, MS; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great child; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins
