Melvin L. Bush was born March 4, 1958 to Dorcello Bush and Joseph Lee Bush.  He departed this life on October 21, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT in Columbus, MS.

Melvin accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Baptist Temple M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. J.W. Jethrow.

Melvin was employed at Airline Manufacturing for over 20 years. He loved football and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers.  He was also a part of the motorcycle club.  Melvin was loving and kind to everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorcella Bush; brother, Marvin Bush; grandparents:  Festre and Louella Bush, Willie George and Isabella Fields.

Melvin leaves to cherish his loving memories:  his father, Joseph Lee Bush of Columbus, MS, his children, Jason (Lashekia) Cunningham, Ashley Bush both of Birmingham, AL, Melvin (Tiffany) Cunningham and Talena Henderson both of Columbus, MS; four brothers, James (Peggy) Bush, Donald (Mattie) Bush, Demetrious Council, Sylvester Harris; one sister, Lueroda Pulliam all of Columbus, MS; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
