Melvin Joe Webber was born on February 16, 1955, to Jimmy Lee Webber and Josephine Howard Webber.
Melvin professed Christ at an early age and united with Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where his grandfather William Howard once pastored.
Melvin was a graduate of Motley High School in 1974. He attended Mary Holmes Jr. College. Upon leaving Mary Holmes College, he joined the U. S. Army where he served for 11 years. During that time, he met and married Pree. To their union, they had four children. After leaving the military Melvin made his home in Jacksonville, Fl for many years. He later moved to Panama City.
Melvin leaves to mourn his parents, Jimmy and Josephine; his children, Doris of Jackson, MS, Janice, Melvin, Yolanda and April all of Jacksonville, FL and Brittany of Florida; his siblings, Janice of Houston, TX, Jeffery of Memphis, TN, Barbara and Alicia of Columbus, MS, Curtis of Washington, DC, Tony of Baltimore, MD; his grandchild, Demarkus, Diisha, Dabria, Elijah, Elias, Elilia's, Ezra, Ethan, Jeremiah, Genesis, Aaliyah, Tyre, Josiah, Charlie, Angel and Alphonso; great grandchildren, Penelope and Teagan; uncle, Robert (Walt Lee), Roger (Tommy) & Maurice; aunt, Georgia, Sallie, Diane & Vickie; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
