Min. Juanita
Houston
November 20, 1961 – October 27, 2025
Juanita Bush Houston was born on November 20th 1961 to Roosevelt and Nina B. Bush in Macon Mississippi. Juanita went to be with the Lord on October 27th 2025.
She was the 4th of eight children, both of her parents preceded her in death as well as three sisters Rosie Whitfield, Estella Speight and Patricia Glass.
Juanita confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Belmont Baptist Church in Macon Mississippi. She later became a member of Noxcedar Baptist church in Macon and later Galilee Baptist church where she served faithfully until her death.
She was married to Conston Scott and from that union three children were born. She later married Billy Houston and formed a blended family of 7 children. Juanita worked for the majority of her adult life providing care for the elderly in nursing homes. Juanita was passionate about spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren as well as other family members.
She was called into the ministry in 2006 and she spent the rest of her life teaching and preaching about Jesus. Her favorite Christmas tradition was sitting with her family while they all sang the twelve days of Christmas. Juanita leaves a legacy of love for her family which was demonstrated every morning with an inspirational word through group text and consistently calling (to) "just see how you doing".
Juanita leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 26 years, Billy Houston; 7 children, Undray (Veronica) Scott, Shanina Scott, Conston Scott Jr., Cointessa (Derrick) Smith, Billy (Markina) Houston Jr, Tamadrion (Trece) Houston, and Stephen Houston, her siblings Helen (Kenneth) Coates, Rosevelt Bush, Linda (Tito) Banks, and Betty Dixon; 17 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also had two special friends, Janice Johnson and Elder Alberta Booth and the crew from the Brighter Day program.
