Joyce Marie Pruitt departed her loving family on November 29, 2023 at 12:03 A.M. at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

Joyce was born June 1, 1951 in Montevallo, AL to Robert Harvill and Rosie Lee Jones.  She attended Pickens County High School. Joyce worked at Johnston Tombigbee Furniture Company from 1975 to 2010. She was a member of Shelter of Love COGIC. She was called to the ministry in 1984 and was a Sunday School Teacher and served on the Usher Ministry.

Joyce loved to read and study the bible, she loved talking about God and you could see in her emotions that talking about God excited her.  She loved spending time with her son, Greg. They watched television together and she showed him how to cook and clean. Joyce showed him how to cook and clean.  Spending time with him made her day each and everyday.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents:  Robert Harvill and Rosie Lee Jones; her daughter, Grace Harvill; her brothers, Johnny Jones, Lee Daniel Jones, Robert Jones, and Bobby Harvill.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Pruitt of 45 years; her sons,  Frank Harvill of Baltimore, MD, Anthony Pruitt and Eric Pruitt of Atlanta, GA, Gregory Pruitt of Ethelsville, AL; five sisters, Pearlene Sherrod, Overa (Lonnie) Martin, Shirley Jones and Doris Jones of Coumbus, MS, Sherry (Herman) Moore of Ethelsville, AL; one brother, Edward Jones of Leakesville, MS; thirteen grand- children, four great-grandchildren.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
