Odester Thomas Williams was born in Noxubee County, MS to the late Garfield and Angie Thomas on June 2, 1949.

She grew up in Noxubee County. Odester confessed Christ at an early age. She attended Sardis M.B. Church in Macon, MS.

Odester transitioned to be with the Lord on April 7, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Williams; children, Lisa and Michael Thomas and siblings, Mary Brewer, Bessie Williams, Linda Spencer, Minnie Lee Pope, Hattie B. Jackson, Mattie B. Garner and Archie Lee Thomas.

Odester memories will be forever cherished by her children, April (Tyrone) Howard of Aliceville, AL, Dennis (Makiko) Thomas of Japan and Leroy (Courtney) Thomas of Macon, MS; four sisters, Louise Thomas of Aliceville, AL, Rosie Humphey of Chicago, IL, Earnestine Steel of Macon, MS, and Lenora Bantum of Aliceville, AL. She also leaves eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
