Time to be Born:
June 1, 1955, Ollie Earl Tate was born to Mary Alice and Willie Tate, Sr.

A Time to Live:
Earl grew up in Columbus and attended the Columbus School System. He met the loved of his life, Janice Roland and they were married for 42 years. He worked for Graham Roofing, Miller Roofing and Bryan Foods, where he later retired. He loved his family and  the Dallas Cowboys team.

Time to Build up Spiritually:
Mr. Tate confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Brick Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained faithful, he was a member of the board of trustee.

A Time to Remember:
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Alice Tate and Willie Tate Sr.; grandfather Simon Hairston; brothers Willie L. Tate Jr., Johnny Will Tate and Simon Tate; sister, Jewel Ann Tate Barry; and nephew Antonio Tate.

A Time to Celebrate:

Mr. Tate answered the call of the Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 15, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Janice Vanessa Tate of Columbus, MS; sisters, Geraldine Tate, Shirley (Don) Hairston, Monica Tate all of Columbus, MS and Kimberly Tate of Marietta, GA; brothers, Larry (Loretta) Tate, Ronald (Murry) Tate all of Columbus, MS and Merle Charles Tate (Renee) Armstrong of Denver, CO; three sisters-in-law, Martha McCoy, Betty (Nathaniel) Key all of Atlanta, GA and Brenda K. Garner of Columbus, MS; two brothers- in-law, Martin (Wendy) Roland and Kennedy Roland; three aunts, Gracie Mozee of Jackson, MS, Virginia Miller of Ethelsville, AL and Mildred Dismuke of Lithonia, GA; Special God sent brothers, Johnny Hampton, Paul "Red" Sampson, Walter Miller, Lons Brandon and Stacey Merino. He also leaves and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
