Obituary

On October 24, 2022 Sister Rosie Smith got her wings. She made her transition from her Earthly home to her Heavenly home.  Rosie was born to the Late Ethel Young Stewart and the Late L.B. Bush on May 14, 1966.

She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Stewart-McGraw.

Rosie graduated from Noxubee High School in 1984.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Spring Hill Primitive Baptist church.  Rosie had some good days and bad days on this journey.  During those good days, she would give her last to anyone in need. She was always cooking something good and sharing it with the neighborhood.  Rosie loved to dance and listen to her music. Rosie kept the family laughing about her Michael Jackson Jacket she had in high school.

She was married to Finas Smith and to this union one child was born.

Rosie leaves to cherish her memories a loving son, Christopher Raymond Smith of Austell, GA; seven sisters, Bobbie Stewart-Fevrier, Brandon, MS; Vera Stewart, Vicksburg, MS, and Annette Webber (Robert)  Mary Ann Bush-Henley, Lillian Harris, Roberta Stewart, and Glory Bush-Stale of Macon, MS;  two brothers, Johnny Young (Tomeka) of Columbus, MS and Bennnie D. Bush of Macon, MS. one uncle, Sammie Young (Julia) of Dayton, OH and two aunts, Lizzie Young and Dora Taifer of New Hope, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
