July 19, 1931 – February 17, 2025
On Monday, February 17, 2025 at Noxubee County Nursing Home in
Macon, MS the angels called Bro. Rufus home. The Lord saw that
you was getting weak, so he called you home to rest.
Bro. Rufus Little was born July 19, 1931 to the late Annie L. Dooley
Little and Rev. Lattimore Little. Bro. Rufus retired from Boral Brick
Yard in Macon, MS. After retiring from Boral Brick, he labored as
former at Erikson/Brookston Plantation for many years until his health
began to fail him.
Bro. Rufus Christian life began at an early age in life when confessed
hope in Christ and joined the Mt. Carmel M. B. Church in under the
leadership of Rev. JJ Corner, Rev. and continued under the present
leadership of Rev. Jack Vaughn. Bro. Rufus served faithfully as an
Usher until his later years in life. He was united in holy matrimony to
Lola Pearl Little. To this union four children were born.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Lola Pearl Little and son
Bennie Little. He was also proceeded in death
By his parents, Annie and Rev. Lattimore Little, three sisters, Shirley
Little Russel, Betty Johnson and Lattie Arnold. Three brothers, John,
Robert and Percy Little.
The memory of his life will be cherished in the hearts of his family:
daughters, Virginia Little of Albany Ga and Lisa Little of Ludwick, Ga.
One son, Jasper Little of Mashulaville, MS. One sister, Annie Morgan
of New York. Two brothers, Caydo Little of Chicago, Il and Dooley
Little of Macon, MS: Eight grandchildren and a host of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.
