Samuel Robert Paige, affectionately known to his friends as "Sinbad" was born April 2, 1957, in  Gries am Brenner, Austria to Anna Karoline Schiller.  He was later adopted to the family of Earl Walton and Helen Love Paige.   Samuel transitioned from this life, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Samir Spruill.

Samuel spent much of his childhood in Temple, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  At the end of his teenage years, he enlisted into the army.  After leaving the military Samuel relocated to Plainfield, New Jersey where he worked in law enforcement as a police officer.  He later moved to Mississippi where he united with Maranatha Faith Center. He worked with VMC Trucking Company, Becon Construction and MSU Event Security. Samuel had a big bold personality, enjoyed people, laughter and loved to read. He never mind helping when he was needed.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of almost 37 years, Sylvia Bays-Paige; three children, Miranda Benjamin Allen (Andre) of Phillipsburg, New Jersey;  Stephen Caleb Paige and Shayla Keturah Paige of Starkville, MS;  two grandchildren; Lomeisa Allen and Aubrey Davidson; brother, Frank Lofton (Merl) of Lawton, Oklahoma. His extended family; Juanita Bays, Willie Bays, Jr. (Faith) and Gloria Howard (Leslie) all of Clarksdale, MS. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He also leaves his adopted by love families, Shay Virgil, LoRen Jamison and The Jamison Family of Columbus, MS, Edward G. Daily and the Daily Families of Oklahoma City, OK and Sarah Knight and Snap Family of Columbus, MS; and a host of friends.
