Sylvester Jordan, 59, died Dec. 29, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Jordan was born June 3, 1964, in Noxubee County, to Dorothy McCoy and the late Raleigh Jordan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Fingar.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Charles Jordan, James Jordan, Felix Mickens, all of New Jersey, Michael Jordan of New York, Christopher Jordan, Shirley Wyatt, Lillian Mickens, Shaie Mickens, Alice Ivy and Carolyn Hill Townsend, all of Mississippi.
