Terrance Lalashea McCoy, a loving son, loving brother, and a loving father, talented laborer, and cherished member of the community, passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 38. He was born on August 31, 1985, in Columbus, MS, to Terry and Gloria McCoy
Terrance was a hardworking individual who excelled in his profession as a laborer. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and commitment. One of his proudest accomplishments was graduating from West Lowndes School in 2005 then later receiving his electrical degree from East Mississippi Community College, a testament to his determination and perseverance.
Outside of his professional life, Terrance was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Kenya McCoy. He cherished their time together and was deeply proud of her. Terrance had an artistic mind and was always exploring his creativity. He enjoyed making beats and had a natural talent for dancing.
Terrance had a passion for the outdoors and loved spending time fishing and hunting. These activities brought him a sense of peace and tranquility. He also had a strong faith in God and accepted Christ at an early age at Brick M.B. Church.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Sykes, maternal grandparents, Annie and Robert Porter, and his paternal grandparents, Irene and Febber McCoy, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his parents, Terry and Gloria McCoy; his daughter, Kenta McCoy; his siblings, Latoria McCoy, Tequila McCoy and Rico Turner all of Columbus, MS, TiaCara (Trentarius) Mitchell of Pascagoula, MS. and a host of family and friends
Terrance will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious smile, and kind spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family and community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
