Virginia Jackson Peoples, affectionally known as "Feen" was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on December 16, 1932, in Crawford, Mississippi, to Eddie Peoples and Mattie T. Jackson. She departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Virginia accepted Christ at an early age, joining Charity Baptist Church under the guidance of Rev. O.W. Betts. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she later moved to Columbus, where she became a devoted member of Stephen Chapel M.B. Church. There, she served faithfully until her health began to decline, sharing her love for music as a cherished member of the Gospel Choir.

For over 20 years, Virginia shared her passion for singing with "The Traveling Five Seniors & Juniors," bringing joy to countless audiences with her soulful voice. Her love for people was evident in every interaction; she had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, often expressing her affection with a warm smile and kind words. Known affectionately as a "little piece of leather that was well put together," Virginia was a strong and resilient woman, beautifully crafted by life's experiences. Virginia was also a familiar face at the Brighter Days Adult Center, where she continued to spread joy and love among her peers. In her younger years, she was employed with Ability Works. Her love for people remained unwavering until the very end, a testament to her generous spirit. Whomever she encountered, she would always tell them how much she loved them. In her leisure time, Virginia enjoyed playing "Bango," a game that brought her much joy and camaraderie. Her laughter and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
