Walter J. Butler, Jr. was born November 8, 1943, to Timothy and Mattie Butler in Caledonia, MS.

He accepted Christ as his personal savior at Brownlee Church. He spent most of his life as a farmer. He enjoyed cooking, Watching his westerns, and fishing in his spare time. Walter was known and "Bandy by all of his family and friends whom loved him dearly.

Walter departed this life on November 12, 2023, in Columbus, MS.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his sisters: Annie Francis Griffin, Pauline Hendricks, Leola Butler, and Shirley Ann Butler; his brothers: Charles Butler, Fred Butler, and J.B. Butler.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters: Mary Sue Butler, Bobbie Sue Davis, and Betty Jean Butler; one brother, Billy Joe Butler. He also leaves a host nieces and nephews whom loved and cared for him.
