Willie grew up Columbus, MS and completed his education at Caldwell High School in the Class 1985. His working career spanned over many years as Roofer. working with Miller Roofing, Hollis Roofing, Wheeler Roofing, and Dove Roofing. He was also an auto mechanic.

Willie is preceded in death by his father Henry C. Jennings and sister Sarah Fisher.

He leaves to cherish his memories: someone "very special" Cynthia Pate Jennings ; his son Thomas Markray, and daughters Krisshauna Poindexter, Janese Sanders, Amari Shirley, Tamara Shirley, Ayonna Dismuke, and Cetericka Walker;  step-daughters Nadia Pate, Kenyada Harris; a special son Brian Lowe; mother Emma Jean Jennings , his brothers and sisters, Henry L. Jennings (Renata), Patricia A. Brooks (Peter), Barbara Ferrow, Steven Jennings (Jackie), Renee Green, and Elizabeth Sherrod; brother-in-law Tommy Fisher; twelve grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
