Obituary

The Beginning

Ms. Willie Bell Brewer's life began on June 1, 1937, in Mashulaville, Mississippi born to Sallie Lou Doss and Featherson Doss Sr.  She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and later became a member of 15th Street Church of God in Christ in Columbus MS. She was a devoted member until she relocated to the Atlanta Metropolitan area in 2014. There is became a watch care member of New Life Community Church under Pastor Marlin D. Harris.

The Earthly Transition

Willie Bell transitioned on June 6, 2024, as God determined her earthly life's journey was complete. Preceding her in transition were her parents, Featherson Doss Sr. and Sallie Lou Doss. Two sisters: Clara Lee Edmonds and Geneva Chandler: and one brother, Featherson Doss Jr.

The Accomplishments

Willie Bell was an educational scholar graduating from Macon Colored School in 1956 with honors and held a class office. She later married Jack Dempsey Brewer, relocated to Chicago, Illinois, and raised a family of six. She later returned back to her roots (Columbus Mississippi).

The Career

Willie Bell was a hard worker and was very determined to provide a stable home for her family. She became an employee of United Technologies.  She worked as a Factory Laborer for more than 25 years until she retired.

Lover of All God's People

Willie Bell loved people and loved to praise and worship God. She was a Biblical scholar of the Word and never missed an opportunity to spread the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was reading God's Word.

Cherished Memories

Life's journey continues for those that Ms. Willie Bell leaves behind: two daughters: Elizabeth Patrick of Columbus, Mississippi and Jacqueline Bradford (Valentino) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; four sons: Ernest Brewer (Carol) of Orlando, Florida, Willie Howard Brewer of Birmingham, Alabama, Jeffery Brewer of Columbus, Mississippi, and Anthony Brewer (Sonja) of Lithonia, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren: Abriah Elizabeth Bradford, Natasha Elliott, Ashley Patrick, Ebony Brewer, Tory Brewer, Parish Brewer, Stephen Wells, Shane Wells, Skylar Wells, Shawn Wells, Sasha Wells, Alayna Brewer, and Anthony Brewer Jr.; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
