A Time To Be Born
Willie Morris Dunlap entered into this realm on February 20, 1937, to the late Henry Sr. and Sallie Mae Dunlap in Noxubee County, MS.

A Time To Grow
Willie received his schooling from Wilson High School in Lowndes County. After graduating from High School Willie moved to Chicago where he held various jobs. He was a school bus driver, Ecko, and Ford Motor Company where he retired from after 30 years of service. Willie was very athletic and, also was offered the opportunity to try out for a league baseball team. (his favorite sport).

A Time to Lo Love
Willie met and married Catherine Harris on February 2, 1963. Together they raised four children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. He is preceded in death by his eldest daughter Portia Bell. He was a dedicated Husband, father, and grandfather. Willie was an exceptional caregiver to Catherine until her passing in 2002. God saw fit to blessed him with another wife, helpmeet, and companion, Ms. Mary Len Henley who also preceded him in death.
Willie was 1 of 14 children and he loved and was concerned about his entire family, generation after generation. He always showed interest and offered advice to numerous nephews who showed an interest in playing sports and obtaining scholarships. Of his siblings, Willie is preceded in death by Mary Bell, Willie May, Gussie, Estella, Henry Jr., James and Arthur.
A Time to Worship
Willie shared many stories about the morning bench. In 1972 a coworker and friend, John Wesley, led him to Christ and invited him to his church, Second Mt. Vernon under the leadership of the late Rev. RH Patton and the late Lee A. Davis where he and his family became members, was baptized, and served as Deacon, Adult Sunday school teacher, and Church Board Member until moving to Columbus after retirement in 1996.
After visiting many churches, God led him to Southside MB Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Lacy, Rev. Clinton McFarland and Rev. Rayfield Evins. Deacon Dunlap continued where he left off in Chicago.
He loved being a Deacon, teaching the word, Men on a mission, and last but not least Opening up Devotion and bowing in prayer. Deacon Dunlap got together his first quartet group called "The Mount Vernon Travelers" in Chicago. They rehearsed many years in the basement of the church. Many didn't think that they would make it out of the basement, but they did. Deacon Dunlap wrote and recorded songs such as "Serve the Lord", "Everything will be alright", "He Rose",  and "How far I strayed" with this group and others in Columbus: The Rising Stars and Mighty Sons of God. His love for quartet music took him all the way to the Apollo Theater where he met Yolanda Adams.
A Time To Die
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain… (Revelations 21:4)
From the comfort of his home, God welcomed him to his heavenly home.
"Well done thou good and faithful servant"
