Willie Earl Patrick entered this world on January 23, 1966, in Louisville, MS to the parents of Willie Clarence Bender and Losteen Eiland Patrick. He received his education in East St. Louis, IL and completed his high school diploma in 1982. He along with his family, relocated to Mississippi. He began his employment with Red Kap Manufacturing in Mathiston, MS, Traceway, and various security companies. He began in law enforcement with Ackerman Police Department and continued for many years with the Winston-Choctaw Regional Correctional Facility. His law enforcement career continued to Columbus, MS where he was employed with the City of Columbus Police Department. In 2017, he relocated to the Lowndes County Sheriff Department where he was a supervisor. He was responsible for the Trustee's Work Program and took great pride in his career.
Willie Earl Patrick accepted Christ as his personal savior many years ago. He was a member of Gibson Street Church of God In Christ in Eupora, MS. He relocated his membership to Second Baptist Church in Starkville, MS and finally with Friendship M.B. Church in Columbus, MS under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Stanley McCrary serving as a deacon.
Willie Earl Patrick, known as "Pete," was a fun-loving man who gave from his heart. He loved the Lord and was a "doer", not a "talker." Anything he did was done with class and exceptional care.
"Pete" departed this life on December 20, 2023, in Tupelo, MS. He is preceded in death by his father, Willie C. Bender; his brothers: Tracy and Douglas Patrick; and his grandmother, Lillie Allen.
"Pete" leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Barbara Patrick; his mother, Losteen Patrick; his sisters: Nanette Gray, Ollie Patrick, Nancy Logan, and Bobbie(Alvin)Haynes; his brothers: Nathaniel Patrick, Donnie Bender, Ronnie Bender, and Leon Rush; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
