Willie Eris Jamison was born on September 23 1956, to the late Sammie Lee Jamison and Ruthie Dell Robinson-Jamison. Willie confessed Christ at an early age.

Willie was molded and inspired by older pillars of the community due to the early and unexpected death of his mother.

Willie wore many hats and was known for joking around and making people happy and entertained. He worked for many different factories over his career.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Dontae Jamison;  daughter, Latonya Sharon Jamison; sisters, Josephine Jamison-Fairley and Mary Jean Jamison-Coates; and one brother, Sammie Lee Jamison, Jr.

He is survived by four daughters, Ruthie Jamison-Brewer (Anthony), Jacqueline Jamison-Young (Elbert) of Brooksville, MS, Shantel Jamison, and Ieisha Jamison of Chicago, IL; one son, Micheal Slaughter; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Jones and Geridine Mitchell, both of Brooksville, MS; three brothers, Lee Roy Jamison of Starkville, MS, Perry Jamison of Columbus, MS, and Mac Authur Jamison of Lakeland, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
