Wilson Banks was born April 5, 1959 in West Point, MS to Dossie Bell and Tinnie Fulton Banks.
Wilson affectionately known as "Red" confessed Christ and joined Oak Grove M.B. Church. He attended West Point High School. Wilson worked at Southern Ionics for 29 years and was later employed with Lowe's.
He enjoyed playing softball, watching football and spending time with his family. He was a Pittsburg Steelers Fan.
Wilson was preceded in death by his father, Dossie E. Bell, one sister, Barbara Banks, and brother, Ozzie Lee Banks.
Wilson leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Florence Banks of Columbus, MS; his daughters, Nolisha Royel Banks (Darrell) Robinson of Huntsville, AL, LaCrysta Hodges of Aberdeen, MS; granddaughter, Lennox Olivia Robinson; his mother, Tinnie Banks of Artesia, MS; 8 sisters, Brenda Banks, Annette Banks, Linda Banks, and Roemessa Banks all of St. Louis, MO; Bertha Banks of Houston, MS, Diane (Eddie) Sherrod of Columbus, MS, Carolyn Trammell of Cleveland, OH and Helen Jean Tutton of Memphis, TN; 7 brothers, Oscar Banks of Bremerton, WA, Alfred (Castella) Banks of West Point MS, Wendell Banks of St. Louis, MO, Don E. Bell of Starkville, MS; Calvin Banks I of Holly Springs, MS, Marvin Banks and Kenneth (Varetta) Banks of Birmingham, AL; 12 nieces, Lattissua Banks, Danyelle Banks, Tiffany Leachman, Alisha Olivo, Brittney McClendon, Lamisha Banks-Taylor, Teresa Banks, Victoria Banks, Sierra Banks-Williams; Keana Banks, Porsche Clarke and Eboni Sherrod; 10 nephews, Marcus Banks, Kenneth Dilworth Jr., Emanuel Banks. Montez Banks, Terrell Banks, Frederick Herron, Keith Herron, Tevin Leachman, Christopher McClendon and Calvin Banks II. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
