Obituary

Yolanda G. Sanders-Lang was born September 17, 1974, to Vanessa Wallace and Troy Lee Lang in Noxubee County, MS. Yolanda loved her family and wanted nothing but the best for them all. Yolanda grew up in Columbus, MS and attended the Columbus Municipal Schools until graduation in 1993 from Columbus High School. Yolanda was a family person, though she never had any natural children of her own she always took time with all the children in the family. She took them to church. Yolanda was Baptized in Jesus Name and Received the Holy Ghost at 23 years old at Victory Apostolic under leadership of the late Mother Mamie J  King.

Yolanda was also a long standing member of Bethlehem Temple of Kenosha and lastly she was a faithful member of her Brothers church Bishop Lang of Acts Family Worship Center Apostolic Faith Church in Racine Wisconsin

Yolanda, known as "Gwen", was an independent and hardworking person. She was a strong woman who believed in brightening everyone's day with laughter. Gwen was employed as a bus driver with the Columbus City Schools for 10 years until she moved to Kenosha Wisconsin with her mother. Yolanda took care of her mother until her dying day.  She became a Certified Mental Health Technician and caregiver with EXCEL Facility for 21 years. In her spare time, she loved shopping and being very fashionable, wearing her hats, jewelry, and purses.

Yolanda departed this life on April 3, 2024. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Sylila and J.B. Sanders and  Jim and Mary Lang

Gwen's memories will forever be cherished by: her parents: Vanessa Wallace of Racine, WI and Troy Lee Lang of Columbus, MS; her siblings: Bishop Dr. Marcus Lang, Sr. of Racine, WI, Frederick Washington, Marcus Mosley, Gloria Washington, Lisa(Shaun)Jones  all of Columbus, MS; her special aunts: Sallie Conner of St. Louis, MO and Tonia "Lynn" Colvin, Linda Johnson and Liz Lang and Hattie Will Dismuke of Columbus ; She leaves behind her uncles: James ,JD, JB, Arthur, Richard, Kenny, and Pip and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
